A different way to see.

Pointloom began with the artwork for my portfolio. Its early converter estimates surface depth, samples XYZ positions and renders grayscale dots on black, with still-image and silent-video exports.

Choose a source

Work with a local image or short video. The converter currently accepts files up to 50 MB.

Reconstruct a surface

Inferred depth provides an approximate surface; optical flow follows motion between video frames.

Make it a loop

Export a PNG or silent MP4, with an optional forward-and-reverse video loop.

Where it stands

Still building.
Still learning.

This is a local prototype, not an online upload service. Video processing uses the first eight seconds at 20 fps. Automatic background removal currently handles plain near-white backgrounds.

More about this project

The sculpture above is a refined portfolio study using inferred depth. It is not a measured LiDAR scan or a promise that every input produces this result.
